Bugs!!! Eeeewww!

Bugs Are A Real Problem
The title says it all. I hate bugs. Sorry, I know they perform a function in our ecosystem and are vital to maintain balance in nature but I was just born extra squeamish. Most bites are not harmful. Most skin irritations from insect bites actually go away in time even without treatment. But experts insist this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t protect yourself from them. Whether or not you’re squeamish, it’s best to avoid situations where you’ll be vulnerable to bites. While not all are harmful, some can cause severe reactions and even spread fatal diseases. Mosquitoes These insects are known to spread diseases. While some bites are harmless, some carry viruses that may even be fatal. Among these easily transmitted diseases are encephalitis virus, dengue fever and West Nile virus. Most people infected with encephalitis do not get sick. However, there are cases wherein the infected individuals develop a fever, headache and even vomiting. In some very rare cases also, the virus travels to the brain and can even be fatal. People with dengue fever, meanwhile, will often get high fever for a couple of days. If not treated immediately, it can lead to a significant drop in a person’s platelet count and this can be deadly. Symptoms of West Nile virus also include fever and body aches. In some rare cases though, the muscle pains can worsen. This can lead to permanent muscle weakness and even death. Protect yourself from mosquito bites by lathering up on insect repellents. Children should be taught this habit. Wear long sleeves if possible. Avoid areas where a recent outbreak of mosquito-transmittable disease has been reported. Bed Bugs Their reputation are worse than their bites, for good reason. Imagine, bugs attacking you when you sleep. They are not even man enough (I mean, insect enough) to attack you in broad daylight. While their bites are harmless, they’re itchy and hard to relieve. If you want to have a restful sleep, make sure to clean your clothes and bed sheets most especially if there are already signs of bed bugs. These insects can spread easily and are very hard to eliminate so the sooner you can get rid of them the better. Avoid putting your travel suitcases on your hotel beds or floor. Bed bugs can easily attach themselves to your things so you might end up bringing them home if the room you are renting is infested with these crawlers. Wash your travel clothes immediately. Maggots This is another reason why you should protect yourself from mosquitoes. These insects can trasmit maggots to your skin. These maggots can burrow itself under your skin and will stay there unless removed. (Eeeeew! I know!) To remove, slap a meat on your skin and wait for it to attach themselves to it. (Double yuck!) Moroccan Argan Oil To relieve yourself from insect bites, love your skin with Moroccan Argan oil. The oil contains nutrients having antiseptic and anti-inflammtory properties. Argan oil can also help fade the insect bite marks as it contains very high levels of Vitamin E, essential fatty acids, Sterols, Squalene and Polyphenols which are nutrients that promote cell regeneration. This just means that with regular application, your skin would be renewed.
