Rummage your fridge for fresh strawberries. If you don’t have strawberries at home, pass by your local farmer’s market on your way home. Get enough to make half a pint of freshly crushed strawberries. You’ll also need a cup of brown sugar and about 2 tablespoons of Argan oil. Argan oil or often called as the Moroccan oil, is packed with Vitamin E, essential fatty acids and Sterols which would help soften and moisturised the calluses on your feet. These nutrients of the oil will also help strengthen the nails and keep your cuticles moisturised. Olive oil will also do. Mix all of these ingredients and ground them up until you get a grainy and paste-like consistency.
Warm up two towel and place them just near you. Using your hands scrub the strawberry mixture into your soles then rinse off afterward with water. Grab the warm towels and wrap your feet so that moisture is sealed in better. Together with the moisturising properties of Argan oil, the acidity in strawberries will help exfoliate those hard calluses on your feet.
DIY Deep Hydration
Warm about 5 cups of milk in a bowl and mix in a couple tablespoons of honey and a tablespoon of lavander essential oil. You may also use the Moroccan oil instead. Grab another bowl and melt about 1 and 1/2 cups of chocolate chips in your microwave. It’s best to use semisweet ones. Once the chocolates melt, pour in a couple tablespoons of honey and a couple of egg yolks. Mix thoroughly until your get a smooth paste-like consistency.
Place the first mixture in a foot tub and let your feet soak in its goodness for about 15 minutes. Then apply the chocolate paste on your feet and let it stay for another 15 minutes. Use warm water to rinse off all the mixture. Your skin will feel moisturised thanks to the hydrating prowess of the milk, cocoa butter in the chocolate and the oil!
