You are reading this right. Here are a few ways on how you can use ginger in your beauty routine. Mustard-Ginger Foot Soak Are your feet feeling too tired, sore and aching? A mustard and ginger foot soak can soothe and relax the muscles in your feet and detoxify your entire system via your soles. Fill your foot tub or a basin large enough to fit both your feet with warm water. Add in about 1 1/2 tablespoons of mustard powder or freshly powdered mustard seeds and a couple teaspoons of peeled and grated fresh ginger in the water then give the water a good stir. Submerge your feet and allow it to soak for about 20 minutes and you’ll feel your feet muscles starting to relax. If the water gets too cold, you can add more warm water. Once done, rinse your feet with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel. Ginger for Getting Rid of White Scars White scars or hypopigmented scars are those scars that has whiten or have a much lighter color that one’s normal skin tone. Ginger can help fix this problem. Dab just a small sliver of fresh ginger onto the white scars. Don’t rinse the ginger juice off, just leave it alone. Do this once or twice a day and you’ll see an improvement in just a week or two. Keep dabbing on fresh ginger on your white scars everyday and within months, you’ll be surprised that your hypopigmented scars are almost the same color as your normal skin tone. Ginger as Body Scrub If you love drinking warm water with crushed ginger in it, you would know about that invigorating and fresh feeling that ginger gives. These very same qualities of ginger is perfect for a rejuvenating body scrub. Aside from its rejuvenating benefit, the ginger body scrub will also help get rid of cellulite as ginger is known to be among mother nature’s best cellulite reducers. Add some lemon zest and you have a scrub that will warm and wake you up. To make your ginger body scrub with lemon zest combine half a cup of sugar, quarter cup of Argan oil, 2 teaspoons of ginger (peeled and freshly grated) and zest from 1 lemon. Use this ginger scrub as you would normally any other scrub. When kept in the fridge, the scrub is good up until a week. It is although best to use it right away.
