Have You Been Committing Skin Care Blunders?

Are you 100% certain that you are caring for your skin properly? Many people actually commit the most common mistakes when caring for the skin without even realising them until signs of skin damage start appearing. If you want to learn how to properly care for your skin, read on!

Most Common Skin Care Mistakes

  1. Washing the skin too frequently. Many people wash their faces more than they should. You should only wash your face twice a day which is in the morning and before going to bed. However many people, most commonly women wash their faces whenever they see that their faces are getting shiny or feeling sticky because of the excess oil that has accumulated.Over washing the face would result to two things. It can lead to dry skin as the essential oils are stripped off after every wash or result to a much oilier skin as the sebaceous glands will produce the essential oils washed away as a counter measure. Either way the results are not anything that you would want.
  2. Using soap to wash the face. Most men make this mistake but a few women still do. It is best to use a mild cleanser suited for your skin type in washing the face. Soaps are harsh to the sensitive skin on the face. This will wipe out the essential oils on your facial skin thus leaving it very dry and leaving you looking older than your age.
  3. Not moisturising the skin daily. The skin needs daily application of moisturiser as it does lose its essential oils from being exposed to the elements, sweating and washing. Having the essential oils stripped off from your skin will only result to dry, unhealthy and old looking (as well as old to the touch) skin.Use Argan oil daily to moisturise your face and the entire body. The Argan oil is packed with Vitamin E which brings nourishment to the skin and helps the skin to repair and replenish. It is also packed with Sterols that adds in moisture as well as locks the moisture in to the skin. Its high content of essential unsaturated fatty acids and antioxidants prevent skin aging.
  4. Using sunscreen lotion only when on the beach or the day is bright and sunny. This is the most fatal mistake you can ever commit and worse it would be the cause of most skin damages. The sun’s UV rays can penetrate thick clouds and even during the colder days of the winter season you still need to apply a sunscreen lotion with an SPF of 15 or higher to your skin when headed outdoors.Do not ever forget to apply sunscreen lotion at least 15 minutes before you say hello to the outside world on any given day to protect your skin from damages caused by UV rays and more importantly avoid getting skin cancer.

These are the 4 most common mistakes that many commit. Have you been making these mistakes as well?
