To start off with this heart warming dish, let’s go to the ingredients.
- Chicken – It is best to use drumsticks or thighs
- tomato paste
- garlic powder – you can use fresh minced ones as well
- potatoes – best to cut them in quarters
- bell peppers
- tomatoes (whole)
- salt to taste
- Argan oil
Preparing the Heartwarming Chicken
Place the chicken drumsticks or thighs in a pot. It is up to you how many pieces of chicken you want to cook. Put water and add in the garlic powder (or minced garlic) and the onions and let it boil. It is best to bring the chicken to a boil using low heat. Once the pot comes to a boil add in the potatoes as well as the tomatoes. Add in the tomato paste, just about 2 teaspoonfuls and add salt to taste. Let it simmer.
Once you see that the potatoes are cooked and the chicken is so tender that the meat appears to be separating from the bones, you can add in the bell peppers and carrots. Lower down the heat and cook for about 5 more minutes.
