Keeping Your Skin Vibrant in the Sun!

Wear Sunscreen When You're Going Under The Sun

One of the major natural elements that is both good and harmful to the skin is the sun. The sun is actually a good source of vitamin D which keeps both skin and bones healthy. But when the skin is over exposed to the sun, it then becomes hazardous not just to the skin but to one’s health as a whole.

Over sun exposure of the skin will dry the body out of moisture. Skin will become wrinkled and flaky. Elasticity will be gone and your skin will look dull and dry. Although being exposed to the sun is inevitable, there are breakthroughs to help keep your skin healthy and moisturized even under the sun.

SUNSCREEN

One of the basic and most effective ways to keep skin protected under the sun is by wearing sunscreen. The higher the SPF the better! This is something you need to be able to incorporate into your daily routine. Get used to putting on sunscreen on your face and body before leaving the house, before heading to the beach, and before doing simple daily chores. It doesn’t take long to apply sunscreen, so take the time and reap the benefits of healthy, young-looking skin.

ARGAN OIL

Argan oil is one of the best moisturizers out in the market today! It is an all natural product that is extracted from the nuts of argan trees found only in Morocco. Used for many years by Moroccan women, this oil is rich in vitamins and nutrients that are essential in keeping skin elastic, fresh, and healthy. A little goes a long way with argan oil. A few drops is enough to moisturize your face, hands, arms, legs, and even your hair and scalp! This oil is non-greasy letting your skin absorb it and its components easily. You’ll see the difference instantly!

HYDRATE

Hydrating your body is another important factor to keep your skin looking young and fresh even under the sun. Drink enough water during the day. The recommended amount of water is 8 8oz glasses of water per day. If you’re under the sun, playing rough sports, or exercising, drink more to keep your body hydrated. Hydrating your body will ensure that your skin and body is replenished of the water lost due to daily activities and sun heat.

Yes the sun is our friend as it gives us much needed Vitamin D. But when over-exposed to the sun’s rays, it can damage skin and body. So aside from sunscreen, argan oil, and hydrating your body, here are a few more ways for you to make sure your body is protected from the sun.

  • Avoid being exposed to the sun between 10:00am to 4:00pm when the sun’s rays are the strongest and most damaging. If it is not possible, wear protective clothing, use umbrellas or hats, and shades.
  • Limit sun exposure to 30 minutes per day, taking in morning sunlight is the best time. Anywhere before 10:00 am.
  • Look for existing body spots for any changes. Look for changes in moles for example and have a doctor examine it right away when a change is noticed.
  • Remember that children and teens should also be warned and protected against over-exposure to the sun. Make sure to teach your kids about using sunscreen, argan oil, and hydrating.

Little steps go a long way with skin care. Drinking enough water every day for instance will help keep skin hydrated and looking fresh. Regular application of argan oil will ensure that your skin gets all the needed vitamins and nutrition it needs to keep it young looking. Sunscreen will help protect your skin from the sun.
