  1. Use a gentle shampoo – You should avoid using shampoos formulated with harsh chemicals. The strong ingredients of your shampoo actually rob your hair of its essential oils leaving it dry. There are gentle shampoos especially formulated for dry hair. Look for the shampoo that has a moisturising property so that your hair is not left dry after washing. Most women actually wash their hair everyday with shampoo. This can actually dry out the hair. You should give your hair a rest from shampooing. It is best to shampoo the hair at least once or twice a week. This helps retain the natural oils of your hair which also prevents your hair from drying out.
