Must Try Homemade Acne Remedy

Sometimes What You'Re Looking For Is Already At Your Home

Acne is one of the things that many of us don’t want to have! But most of us had our fair share of breakouts during our teens but some can still be plagued by this skin problem even after adolescent years.

Understanding Acne

Acne happens when the pilosebaceous unit goes haywire. Is this sounding more like a science class to you?

To put things simply when pilosebacious units on our body go hay wire there is an overproduction of sebum in our sebaceous glands.

Our skin normally has Propionibacterium acnes which is a bacterium that causes acne and this bacterium feeds on sebum.

The more sebum is produced the more of this bacteria your follicles will have.

When your follicles have this bacteria, white blood cells are lured into the follicles and the white blood cells produce an enzyme that can damage the wall of our follicles.

Once the wall of a follicle is damaged, whatever is in it like the Propionibacterium acnes will go in the dermis.

There would then be an inflammatory reaction which will start the red bumps we call pimples, a type of acne.

The bacteria would also form free fatty acids which further irritates the follicle and triggers more inflammation.

What You Can Do About Your Acne

There are many ways to fight acne. You can seek the help of a skin doctor and he or she can prescribe you with medication, topical ointments or creams.

There are also homemade acne treatments and over-the-counter anti-acne products that you can use.
