Being cranky is not only bad for the people around you but it’s also bad for you. Not only do you get lines on your face otherwise known as wrinkles, you also subject your body to stress and different body problems. And the people around you? Yes they suffer as well. You just feel tired all the time and you are easily irritable. Well, save yourself and others the stress. Here are simple ways you can stop being cranky.


When you have not rested enough and didn’t sleep enough – the tendency is for you to become cranky. It’s your body’s way of saying, “I’m tired”. The recommended number of hours you should be sleeping is 8. The number is not just for luck. It signifies the amount of time your body needs to regenerate energy. And it’s not a joke. You see, when you don’t have enough sleep, your body produces more cortisol, a stress hormone that keeps you at edge. This is the reason why small things like looking for a lost sock or having to wait in line gets too you quicker than in most cases.


Believe it or not having a healthy dose of sunshine will make you feel better. Walking a few minutes each day in your garden or veranda, looking out the window to smell in the air, and taking time to water your plants will help you relive yourself from stress. Cranky problems may be lessened with a good helping of the outdoors. Find a day in the week to wake up early in the morning to walk. Call a friend and have someone walk with you. Getting a feel of the trees and flowers will do you a lot of good.
