Here’s what you will need to make a great Asian tilapia salad.

Ingredients

  • Tilapia fillets – a pound, preferably cut into strips between one and two inches
  • Scallions – just three, chopped
  • Bottled sesame ginger dressing – measured into a fourth of a cup
  • Baby corn – a can, or weighing about fifteen ounces, ideally sliced and rinsed
  • Mixed salad greens – ten ounces
  • Culinary Argan oil – to add a drizzle before serving, for that extra spice

Directions
Once you have all the necessary ingredients, take a medium-sized bowl and place the fillet strips and scallions inside it. Add in the two tablespoons of bottled sesame ginger dressing. Place the bowl in the refrigerator and allow it to cool for ten minutes.

After the 10 minutes, remove the bowl from the refrigerator, and take the tilapia strip, arranging them on a foil-lined baking sheet. Broil the fillet strips for about five to six minutes, though the general rule of thumb to know when the fish is ready is when each surface has turned completely opaque.

While waiting, you could also prepare the dressing. Take a large bowl (ideally the bowl you intend to serve the salad in) and mix in the baby corn, salad greens, and the rest of the sesame ginger dressing together. Serve this mixture along with the tilapia strips when ready.

To bring out its maximum flavor, add a drizzle of culinary Argan oil over the Asian tilapia salad, preferably after the meat has cooled somewhat, as this oil tends to turn bitter if heated.
