When wrinkles start creeping up the skin, one can start feeling old or rather older. Wrinkles and fine lines are a sign of aging and although they are inevitable, we love holding them off for a little bit longer. The good thing is there are ways for us to prevent and minimize wrinkles. Do these things regularly for best results:
- Protect your skin from UV rays – UV rays are the leading cause of wrinkles. Daily sun protection is a must. Essential oils with numerous antioxidants in them like the Moroccan Argan oil are great for protecting the skin against the harmful effects of UV rays. Aside from applying sunscreen, lather on such oil on your skin. However, remember not to use the oil itself as your sunscreen lotion.
- Rest up. – Giving your body a good rest is essential in keeping the skin healthy and youthful. The skin naturally heals and repairs damaged cells at night when the body is asleep. The entire process of repairing damaged skin cells takes about 7 hours. If you keep depriving yourself sleep, this means that the skin is not able to repair the damage it has sustained throughout each day and your skin will start aging faster.
- Drink up. – You should drink lots of water and fresh fruit juices. They are both excellent in promoting good skin health.
These things will help keep you looking and feeling young in old age!
