  5. If during a flare-up you get exposed to anyone suffering from a viral skin condition like genital herpes or cold sores, you should immediately go to your doctor. This skin condition can make you more vulnerable to getting infected with the virus.
  6. If your patches of eczema starts developing tiny blisters that are painful and filled with fluid, you should see your doctor as this could indicate that you have eczema herpeticum. Although this condition is rare, you should immediately see your doctor as this can be a serious complication triggered by the herpes simplex virus.
