Exfoliate old skin cells
Yes, you’re going to need to up the exfoliation a bit. Summer often leaves your skin feeling dry, thus more prone to flaking. You might not see it, but skin cells may also peel away on microscopic levels. To keep your skin glowing throughout autumn, exfoliate with a soft washcloth and exfoliating solution. Try not to be too harsh on your skin, though; experts recommend exfoliating no more than one to two times a week. Also remember that there’s really no need to scrape your skin raw, unless you feel you need a heavier exfoliating job. However, you don’t need the excess oil in the fall. If you have a cleanser tailored specifically for oily skin, switch to a milder solution that won’t be too hard on removing oil from your skin. The application of an oil-free toner often helps after cleansing too.
Moisturise, moisturise and you guessed it right, moisturise!
The benefit of moisturising lies in its ability to keep your skin nourished with much needed vitamins A, C and E—a constant must regardless of the season. Several moisturisers are also chock full of anti-oxidants. A great option in moisturisers is Argan oil, as it contains several nutrients that your skin needs, and serves as an excellent moisturizer as well. Apply moisturiser to especially dry areas on your skin, and top it off with sunscreen to protect yourself from UV rays. . Application of Argan oil often makes a huge difference, regardless of what season it is.
