Worry No More about Skin Aging with these Helpful Tips

Living A Stress-Free Lifestyle Will Help Keep Our Skin Healthy

Are you worried about the wrinkles that are starting to show on your skin? Most women when reaching the age of mid 20s fear and dread the signs of skin aging. Skin aging is a natural process however you can actually delay and prevent the skin from aging. The question is how.

Skin aging can be caused by the lifestyle you are leading as well as not taking care of the skin. Many elements can damage the skin and hasten skin aging. If your skin is showing signs of aging such as wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, sun spots and blemishes, chances are you are not caring for your skin properly (or at all).

How to Delay Skin Aging

  1. Live a healthy lifestyle! A healthy lifestyle is the most effective weapon against skin aging. If you are eating right, sleeping right, keeping your body hydrated and exercising regularly you are keeping the skin healthy and slowing down the process of skin aging.Just like any organ of the body, the skin needs nourishment. You give your skin nourishment with the food that you eat. To keep the skin healthy you need to eat a healthy and balanced diet. Cut out meals from fast food chains as they are covered in grease and oil which makes them very unhealthy not just for the skin but for the entire body. Your meals should be complete with proteins, carbohydrates fibres and healthy fats. To make sure that the skin can absorb the nutrients you eat you should make sure that you exercise regularly. Exercising ensures that the blood carrying oxygen and nutrients circulate well and can reach every part of your body. The body naturally replenish and repairs damaged cells, tissues and muscles when we sleep at night. The repairing and replenishing takes about 8 hours. This is why it is important that you sleep at least 8 hours a night to keep the skin healthy and keep skin aging at bay.
  2. Avoid stress and vices such as smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages. Stress actually destroys collagen and decreases the levels of collagen in the body. When we age the body produces less collagen and stress plus bad habits can dramatically decrease the collagen levels in the body. This would result to the skin sagging, having a dull complexion and appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and age spots.
  3. Never go outdoors without sun protection! Whenever you would be outdoors you need to apply sunscreen lotion to your skin. The sun’s UV rays are the main cause of wrinkles so be sure that you protect your skin when going outdoors. Remember to use a sunscreen lotion with an SPF 15 or higher and apply to the skin 15 minutes before heading outdoors.
  4. Never forget to moisturise the skin! You should replenish the moisture that the skin loses everyday from being exposed to the elements. The Argan oil is a great skin moisturiser as well as an anti skin aging product. This is because Argan oil contains Sterols, Vitamin E, essential fatty acids and antioxidants.

If you don’t want to look older than your age, take good care of your skin!
